A towel? Eww.....aww....that's nasty....

It depends, kneeling over the toilet is best, no mess, but stationary. On the other hand a large bucket is portable, so you can lie in bed or on a couch, but tends to sit aroud and stink up the place. You're preference. If you're sick, feel better.
