Kitchen sink: single bowl vs double?
why one or the other? please let me know the pros/cons. Also, I don't understand why for some of the double bowls, one side is very small/narrow, what purpose can that possibly serve?
personally, i like one big bowl, so I can dump all the dishes in and wash. so what really is the purpose of the 2nd bowl??
Having two bowls allows you to wash dishes in one and rinse them in the other. Or you can wash dishes and rinse veggies in the other (that's the purpose of those small, shallow basins). However, a single bowl is generally more suited to smaller kitchens. And if you really want versatility, how about a 3-bowl sink? They are becoming more common in large kitchens. Ones I've seen have two large basins separated by a small, shallow basin.
