Seat Nip

For those who had pets did any of you do "Baby doll therpy?..Hubby and I feel silly doing it..Advice?

My husband and I are in this "Baby doll therpy" with our dog.
We have to take a life like doll and treat her like she is real for a month.
This is so our dog who had a Child Nipping problem gets used to having children/babies in the house. We play crying sounds, change the babies diaper, feed it after it wets (Yes our doll wets and eats), carrying around in a car seat, put it in a bassinet, change it's clothing etc. We do everything a mommy does just with a a fake baby.

At first I was taking it very serious because I wanted my dog to get used to having a doll around..but now I am feeling a bit silly. My husband thinks it's a big joke, and I am getting annoyed at him because I want this to work.

Any tips or advice to make this therpy go a little bit eaiser for us and how I can get my husband to take it serious?

Even your dog is going to know the difference between a doll and a baby. I have to admit this sounds like the biggest waste of time.

I equate it to try to teach a pig to sing. It just wastes your time and annoys the pig.
