The latest news is wreckage has been spotted floating in the water. What they believe to be a plane seat, life jacket etc. Until they can retrieve the debris they can't confirm it's from Air France (although most likely it is).

Now they've found the debris there is an increased likelihood of finding the other wreckage as scientists and air-crash investigators can study satellite imagery and study weather maps to determine currents etc.

Oh, also previously terrorism had been ruled out. However, it's now a possible cause according to investigators.
